Hey I am excited as well. Dan is working with one arm since he just had surgery. I told him we could tape a track ball to his bum arm if he can't use a mouse. So far that's working decent! An update on "Centering the sack" we are finding that it's not feasible to center it dead on, as the latching tabs end up way far into the lower, and the dovetail shifts way to the right of the model. It looks dumb. We were able to move it over about .53 from what you would get on a black widow lower. It's not centered..... But it's real close! I will post some fresh renders between now and the weekend. The cosmetics changed a good amount with the larger trigger guard, and the way the dovetail area is styled for manufacturability. Ryan |

I ordered one of these adapters for my BFAR MOD1 receiver. Hoping it will place the feed bag where I need it. I am still waiting for it to show up (shipped UPS) UPS has lost my Package, confirmed missing by UPS! UPS is unwilling to do anything for me as they state the shipper needs to start the claim. https://inoculum-group.com/product/lima6-blackwidow-dovetail-adaptor/ Will let you know how it works it I ever get this adapter. |

We filed a claim on this one for ya with UPS. I see it's just "Sitting." We will ship you a fresh one in a few days if there is no movement so you can get the product and we can deal with the lost package. You should have some E-mail coms regarding this. Ryan |

I think the first iteration was much closer to the design language of the LIMA Six. Especially the more squared and simplified front nutsack dovetail as well as the more traditional trigger guard. I’d rather see the first version with some additional fencing on the controls….perfection. Since the upper is open on the bottom, I would love to see the removal of the snack box just to keep things simpler. |

The snack box may be the reason for this, but it appears that the dovetail is even lower than the first iteration. I would prioritize getting the dovetail as high as possible. My hydra/lima six lower dovetail looks to be about 0.4” higher than the latest iteration. Took a photo to compare with your model. https://imgur.com/a/nIW9fhn I really do love the rest of the features, just think that the dovetail and snack box area should get looked at again. If you have to sacrifice the centering of the nutsack to get it higher, I would do that. |

Coming from a guy who runs a machine shop - if that snack box is just a selling feature and serves no actual purpose in operation or machining it needs to go. Sure, it might make for a funny instagram video but in reality it is counterproductive for what the whole project is supposed to be about- affordable belt feds. Features mean machine time and machine time means money. Also, keeping the belt box as high as possible is a priority in my book as well. I hate the look of a regular AR with an adapter. Keep that ammo pouch high and tight! |

Dan and I looked it over late last night. Next round of tweaks from feedback: - Dovetail will be raised as far as possible. This is constrained by the wall below the front takedown pin area, and the depth of the locking tab pocket. If we want it to work with the rounded Tribe Tactical locking tabs, then that pocket needs to be deep. We found a little room to move up, but we don't want the wall thickness to be thin. We will rework both areas, and get that thing nice and high. - Fencing around bolt catches - Radius or blend on the back side of the buffer tube tower. (We don't want a full blend to castle nut because we have some stock ideas for this area.) - We have had a couple requests to change the trigger guard back to the smaller one. Right now I would rather keep it. - Snack pocket. I am a weight nerd!!! If we can hog some weight out of this thing, I am all for it. That feature can be ruffed out in no time, so as of now we are going to keep it in. Ryan |

Most excellent to hear these updates!! Glad you’re taking so much time on feedback. Making subtle manufacturing and design changes to the first iteration would seem to make this project as perfect as a dedicated upper can be. -If you can shoot for the dovetail to be at least as high as the hydra adapter, it’ll be perfect as it raises the 100rd nutsacks higher than most grips. I see the thinness issue you’re talking about between the latch pocket and the front pin area, but it works on the hydra adapter that also takes tribe tactical nutsacks. From the looks of the second iteration drawings, part of what you were trying to do is make shotgunning the upper at much steeper angles possible. I would not prioritize this at all, just enough to remove the bolt. In fact, if you limit the front block to just enough angle to get the bolt out, you can probably get some meat back from the front pin area and possibly get higher than the hydra. The long strait block dovetail support of the first iteration with a shallow angle on top to allow shotgunning leaves a ton of meat around the dovetail and front of pin. -fencing around the bolt catches is gonna be a great addition. - could take or leave the radius on the buffer tower. I kinda dig the way it is now. - for sure count me in the camp of keeping the original trigger guard. The large one is cartoonishly large and I would prefer a trigger guard that is sized to actually guard the trigger. The original is plenty big. I’m not seeing a bunch of AR dudes clamoring for more space than a magpul trigger guard. -snack pocket just seems unnecessary-especially on these builds that are gonna be pretty heavy to begin with. Seems like a just another place to have a primer, link, or just plain ol debris to go. If you can get the dovetail up to the same height as the hydra, that’s the most important thing. I’d hate to have to pick between the hydra for higher dovetail or this lower for covering the gas key cutout. |

That could get melty! Perhaps a spring clip or something. |

Do you have an idea of the deposit amount? I’m trying to budget some other large Lima Six related purchases next week and want to make sure that I set enough aside. Thanks! Dumb question, but if this lower is dedicated is it possible to extend the buffer tube area by the extra 3/4" needed for Lima 6 travel but still use standard buffer tubes and carbine buffers to do it? No idea if that's even possible, but if making a custom product it sure seems like there might be a way And if it is possible, is there value to it? Just wanted to throw it out there since it's something I thought of randomly Edit: I didn't read the whole thread so forgive me if it's already incorporated in the design

And many different buffer tubes have different lips on the front. So you couldnt necessarily use any carbine buffer. |

Basically they are trying to do California and beyond effective July 1st. Except they are more specific of this and there wouldn’t be a route to owning an AR.. at least from what I’ve seen. Pretty annoying.. I signed up for updates on your website as I’m also anxiously waiting for this lower before July 1st. Thanks! |
