| I bought the atchisson .22 conversion kit for my AR. According to the instructions, you simply remove the bolt carrier group from the AR and replace it with the conversion .22 bolt. I did this, and it fits together tight with the charging handle. Once the rifle is put back together I can not charge the rifle. Something inside with the conversion bolt and the charging handle is binding. The rifle has funcitoned flawlessly as a .223, but now w/ this conversion kit, I can't even get the bolt to cycle. Any thoughts or comments? |
If you want a .22 buy a .22 , I dont like conversion kits myself. But check to see how the gastube is fittin inside the bolt KEY, check to see how the BOLT is locking up in the barrel extension. Operate the BOlt and all that with the lower removed and the UPPEr upside down so you can see the action moving and maybe able to see the hang up |
