If a large quantity of primers came onto the market via ONE major retailer such as Midway, how many would you buy immediately? No one else has them. You haven't been able to get any for months.
For the purpose of the poll, focus on the quantity of your most important type. Reiterating the oint, as some dd not get it - use the poll to register how many of your single most important primer type you'd buy, small rifle, small pistol,... whatever type you'd like to buy. |
i would think it would come down to how much the person shot, and how paranoid they are

I wrote CCI about the problem middle of last week.
We've seen unprecedented demand for certain calibers of ammunition and the primers that charge them over the past several years. We've added capacity to meet the increasing demand and are fulfilling backorders. I'll be working this summer at reloading probably 10K rounds of various calibers whose components I bought some time ago.
For the present, and forseeable future, I'll be shooting mostly .22RF under conditions/ranges that will maximize its' training utility. If you use the .22RF intelligently, there's no great loss, except for long-range shooting. I have a fair amount of ammo already stashed, and the new stuff will pretty much top-off my containers. FWIW, I once misplaced a couple of cases of Greek .30'06 ammo. I knew I had it, but just couldn't lay my hands on it. No matter. With prices/availablity conditions like they are now, I'll stay with mostly .22RF. |
