Fellows, I usually don't post here, but I thought many of you may be interested in a few pictures of a rifle I took a few days ago.
An aquaintance of mine invited me over to another friends house because he had just purchased this Big Fifty rifle that he said few of us will ever see upclose and personal.
Here are the pictures I took.

To say I was overwhelmed by this rifle is an understatement.
It is one nice weapon.
I would love to even have a chance to fire it.

It's a beautiful rifle for sure, but I don't know if it's 13,000 beautiful.

The AW50 IS a nice rifle, but I agree that it probably isn't what most .50 shooters would spend $13k on (as evidenced by the lack of AW50's at the FCSA matches).  I think the EDM Windrunner is a fine rifle, too, but only a little more than half the cost of the AW50.

+1 with above ...Very nice gun but no where near $13k nice.

I rather fancy/lust after this one....

I drive a Jeep and enjoy seeing someone's Ferrari.  I have a couple of 50's and it is cool to see something I don't have and may never have.  I think some me need to re-read Æsop's Fables.  Thanks for the pictures.

Very similar to the monopod on the Ferret lowers.  Adds a margin of lateral stability over the traditional monopods, while allowing longitudinal travel under recoil without any 'camming' action which results in vertical stringing on your target.

The Nemesis is also a sweet but $$$ gun.  FCSA is holding a raffle for one right now, to be given away at the Championship shoot at Raton in July.  $25 a ticket, you need not be present to win.  Odds are probably a lot better than winning the equivalent $ playing the lotery!  I know I've got my ticket!

Depends on the model and exchange rate. They are working on getting a US distributor. Figure on about $10k or so. To me, it is more impressive than the AI 50.

Indeed and the ability to change out barrels with ease is nice too.

The barrels on my Windrunners change out easier...

Still, though, as soon as they start importing them, I'll probably have my name on the list!

that weapon is sweet did you see it on future weapons but for 13k i would rather have three ar 50s go thought the atf song and dance get a 50 suppressor, 13k really opens up the imagination  maybe a mini gun

Theres 3 or 4 AW50's at my club (FCSA UK).

Nice kit, but spendy....especially since my Nemesis was around half the price of one.

How does the Nemisis do accuracy wise compared to the AI guns? Or anything else you shoot against for that matter?

I like the layout/looks of the Nemisis better

To be honest I haven't shot mine for group on paper yet, too busy having fun with it, but I can consistently hit military Fig11 (silhouette) knockdown targets at 1421 yards with milsurplus ammo from 1945.

Thats good enough for me IIRC the Fig 11 target is 18" wide and 45" high.

The Nemesis uses Walther barrels too, so thats gonna help.

Furthest I've shot mine was at a military range in Cumbria. Target was a tank (turret) at 1586 yards. (Pics below)

Charlie High Range

My Nemesis & Sako TRG

Shorty

I've shot a friends AW50 (off a bench, whereas I always shoot prone with mine), and I found the recoil surprisingly stiff  after shooting my Nemesis. The AMSD muzzle break is excellent.

AI make a damn fine rifle, but would an AI AW50 be twice as good as the Nemesis ($$$), I don't think so.

ETA - I'll perform a group test at 1000 yards next time I'm at the range, hopefully in Sept.

Look forward to it

Do you shoot match type ammo at all or just mil surp stuff?

I've got reloading gear for .50 and have made up a few rounds, but I mainly use surplus ball for  hard targets and military knockdown targets.

I've got some CBC brass. which unfortunately exhibit shallow primer pockets, so I bought an M2 precision tool to deal with that.

For heads I'll be using Lapua 750g Bullet-X.

Cheers
