| While at the gun shop today, I saw standing up in the back what appeared to be a dressed up AR. With rail system and fore grip and such. Turns out it was a SAW the dealer has as a post dealer sample for a local PD. Can't remember the exact model, MK something. They said it was the Navy's version of the SAW. Belt fed, knight's forend. They said it was an awesome gun to shoot. Unfortunately I couldn't talk them into letting me shoot it. He said it went for $7000 as a post dealer sample. And I thought the LEO stuff was cheaper. |
I can't belive that a pre-86 dealer sample fetches 100k, that's nearly as much as a pre-86 GE Mini-gun, which I would much rather have for the money. |
last time I checked GE miniguns were going for about 350K |
The pre 86's aren't "dealer samples". They are transferable. |
At the very least, $350K. The last one I saw for sale, was pushing more toward the $450K mark. |
Anyone have any idea who buys, or who owns these things? |
|
People with more money than I have, and who know they'll only go up in price.... Or, who have a serious vermin infestation problem, and can invest the money and take care of it, I guess Not to mention the price of care and feeding...450k for the gun, and then probably 10k in ammo a year, 5k in parts easy if they actually use it... |
Mike Dillon - You'd have to be a reloader to be able to feed those things. |
