I have some SBR rifles and some suppressors. Is Missouri state that will allow me to bring my toys with me when I move there? |
WTF? MGs are fine, SBRs are fine, AOWs are fine, but not suppressors? What hayseed dumbass politician thought THAT one up? Any movement to get this reversed? I'd hate to have to give up my cans. |
Poaching. Suppressor bans are usually old laws going back to game wardens complaining about poachers. Hey, it could be Washington state-- you can own a suppressor, but it can't be used! ![]() Mike |
According to the NFA FAQ, suppressors and DDs are no-nos in Missouri. |
|
You could also maintain ownership by storing them out of state, or transferring them to a SOT in Missouri, I have heard of people doing both. There was talk of forming a group and hiring a lobbyist, but nothing has gotten off the ground yet. And yes I forgot to mention that an FFL is required to own any NFA item in Missouri, C&R will do, and is the most popular route I believe. |

Yes, there a group of us here working with some political folks to get suppressors allowed in MO again. They were ok before, and when the gun laws were rewritten, there was a small error made. It'll only take a word and comma to make them ok hee again. When you get moved to MO, come to one of the CMMG shoots and you can learn about it and donate a peso or two, if you want to help us out. Lobbyist isn't cheap. Hopefully this legislative year. |
Are you serious? A flippin word and a comma are what is keeping people from having suppressors there? Oy vey. It will probably be a few years before I get there (if ever) but I really hope you guys get things changed - good luck! |
