Anyone ever deal with Spedfeed concerning their lifetime warranty? I have a Speedfeed II stock set which I really like, but I have broken the recoil pad's plastice frame. SF supplies tapered wood screw to mount the recoil pad to the stock. I guess I overtightened them and broke up the plastic body of the pad. I did use the Kung Fu grip, I merely snugged up the screws. I have contacted Brownells and Speedfeed to see what I can do. I also want to try the SWAT plate as I would like a little shorter LOP. Anyone tried this on a Speedfeed II? If no joy on this, I will just buy one of the many Remington plastic sets on the EE. Honestly, I do not mean this as a slam, but I would expect a shotgun stock marketed to "agencies" to be a little more robust.
Next time I will a straight pan head screw not the tapered wood type, this should alleviate the issue. ETA: What I have done in the interim is put on a Limb Saver recoil cuff, size small. I like the gooey feel and the short LOP, may just stick with this. Thanks R/ Mike |
