So I found an Featherlight with the poly choke installed on the barrel, bluing is what I would rate at LEAST 90 percent (slight wear on the magazine tube) and the wood on the pump is ribbed and perfect condition but the previous owner cut the rear stock down a few inches and put on a new recoil pad. They are asking 200 for it. For collectors sake IF I can find a new rear stock for it, is that worth the 200 or is it not worth that even with the stock in that condition?

Numrich is my usual goto for parts but the only stock they have for the 37 is the youth model. Where else has them?

check out any of the after market manufacturers. I found one for my 37 at Boyds gunstocks.

I'll keep an eye out at the next gun shows, looks like Boyds quit making Ithaca stuff altogether but I'll call tomorrow and see if they have anything lying around. My main concern was the price for the condition it's in and sounds like it's still a winner either way.

The polychoke and cut down stock would drop it to a $130 or so dollar gun IMO. The last replacement stocks I saw were about $70-$80. Depending on how old the gun is, you may not be able to just buy a replacement barrel and install it...the older ones were fitted to the receiver.

I thought it was the new ones that were fitted to the receiver? I'm told to stay away from the new redesigned ones for that reason and to keep an eye out for the old ones?

just cut the barrel down a little more if you don't like the cuts and have tubes installed. Stocks can be tricky to find. I'd still pay $200 for it though if you want an ithaca....

No. Below about serial number 800,000, the barrels were hand fitted to the receiver and not interchangeable. Except for the short barreled gun Ithaca is marketing for home defense, all other newer guns feature interchangeable barrels.
