| I couldn't resist any longer. I had been thinking of the Century for $400 but decided to be safe and get the DSA Stg-58 T2 for twice that. Unfortunately, they are on backorder (as is my 3k of port from AIM) until the end of April. I guess I should have stopped dragging my feet and ordered it a month ago and it would almost be here by now. I've got 6 alloy mags on the way from inter-ordnance (are their products usually good?) so besides that and the ammo, what else can I spend buckets of money on while impatiently awaiting the arrival of my first 308? |

If I had just ordered a DSA STG58 and still had money to burn, I would burn it on this. ELCANs and FALs go together like ketchup and fries. The FAL will break pretty much any other scope--the ELCAN is one of the few that will take the abuse, hold its zero, and give you excellent light gathering. Maybe that's why when you see pictures of our guys in Afghanistan on the GD board they have ELCAN scopes on their M240s and M249s? www.tapco.com/product_information.asp?number=OPT2401&back=yes&dept=136&last=18

I suggest you visit www.tapco.com. You also might want to consider (besides the excellent Alcon mentioned above...) a S.U.I.T. (Trilux) sight. It's an authentic FAL accessory. I bought an Israelie (spelling?) surplus unit in like new condition with the LED illuminator. It's very cool. |

DSA are the standard, and i have had one for some time that wears a trilux. this scope is more appropriate on an L1A1, as they were never used on the austrian guns, but it looks cool and works great, anyway. go to the FALFILES http://www.falfiles.com/forums/index.php?s= and learn more than you want to know. be an internet junkie, like me. |
