Is this a refurb RC? What is the manufacture?

I will assume it is a bring back and maybe a BYF 1940 with rod and hood for giggles.

If it is in as nice a shape including the bore then you would be in the $600 to $800 range. If it is a rarer mfg than start increasing from there. However you can still find nice bringbacks occasionaly in the $400 to $600 range.

Now if it is an RC, than you are in the $200 to $300 range.

Does RC=Russian Capture? If so, it is Russian Capture.

I have a pic of the receiver stamping.

The 995 on the receiver matches the 995 on the stock. All Eagles are intact.

Let's see if I can get this pic to work.

what condition is the bore in?  RC are generally good for one thing and that's plinking, which is why I like them.  I have one with a very worn lightly freckled bore but still a great shooter, one day, just one day I'll get an all matching minty....

get some more pics of the whole gun.

that rifle is really mismatched.  it has a 1945ish nose cap and front band held on with a screw.  that is real late war manufacturing short cuts.  they should not be present on a 1940.  that means it is a shooter not collector.  prob $200-$250 on open market.  they can be had cheaper from dealers/ suppliers.

edit:  i just realized that you said all the markings are intact.  that may be able to bring $50 more, but that depends if that is what the buyer is looking for.

Kriegsmodel stock, note the lack of bayonet lug.  If you can get it cheap it might be worth it just for the stock IMO.  Early receiver, late war stock, completly mismatched is right!

He wants $299 for it.

I certainly want to shoot it, but would also like one in pretty good shape. Everything that I have seen at gun shows has looked like it fell of of the back of a truck a few times.

This one seems all mismatched according to you guys, so I think I'm gonna pass

$299 is too much for a mismatch IMO.

$ 299 is alittle steep even with the late war stock. It's a $ 200 RC at best.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback
