I've watched all videos I can find and stil can't decide what to pursue...has anyone here shot or own both?

Have handled both - not shot them. KSG was much better in the hands so bought it.

The vids I have seen make it a no contest....KSG wins by a mile!

I have fired both and seen both used extensively at the Bullpup Shoot.

The UTS is big, but light.  It is interesting and cool in a sci-fi way, but seemed rather fragile overall.  IIRC, it broke before the end of the day, I do not recall exactly what part failed but the gun was no longer functional.

The KSG is much more compact, but we have seen them consistently choke on ribbed body shells after having run about 50-100 rounds through them.  Two years running this has been an issue with different KSGs.  The slides also have been know to crack, although I have not seen it in person.  Supposedly the choking is not an issue if using smooth body shells, but it definitely was an issue in 2011 and 2012 when we were shooting them.

Honestly I would just get a Remington 870 used and put on of the Bullpup Unlimited stocks on it.  Having run the BU 870 at the Bullpup Shoot I found it the best of the three, and now have one myself.  A lot less "gimmicky" than the other two and uses a proven shotgun action.  No issues with durability (we did manage to have a part pull out the inserts on the original prototype at Bullpup Shoot 2011, but they changed the inserts and polymer and no issues since).
