Placed a new order: 16" Sirupate -horn handle (rat tail tang) -copper hardware -western leather sheath Hotspur (for a camping/hiking knife) -acid wash finish -performance grind -Rosewood handle I'll post updates as they come. |

Update: my blades arrived! there is something great about receiving a package wrapped in paper and twine.  No fancy pictures or background yet. This is right after I wiped down the blades and set them on the counter. |

I realized I never got around to posting my MSI. 10.5 MSI, acid washed blade, brass accents, and medium sized black micarta handle. Grinds and edge are beautiful, I really like the acid washed finish, and I'm very happy with the fit and retention of the Western Leather holster. I haven't chopped or cut anything too substantial, just some small branches and shrubs to date, but this thing is a tank.   Really appreciated the update shots from Kailash as well.    |

My Sirupate arrived this week and this morning I took pictures while walking in Provo Canyon. The acid wash on the blade brought out the hamon line. I also went with the traditional rubbed-leather dap/sheath. It feels absolutely amazing in the hand and is a work of art. Gorgeous. And the Bowie is very pretty as well. |

All of our hardware is tough enough for use outdoors and we compensate for softer or more fragile materials by beefing up stock thickness in those circumstances. My Kailash HSI arrived yesterday. It is extremely light compared to my Himalayan Imports and KHHI blades. Carrying will be better, we'll see how it chops. I really like the micarta handle and the kydex sheath. All of my other micarta handled knives have polished handles. This one was left rough and the grip is exceptional. The sheath is a taco style without the open top like others. My KHHI blades have the open top. I like this one better. I's not very sharp, but that's easily fixed. I've got khukries with buffalo horn, wood, and now micarta. I really like the micarta for grip and it's inherently more robust. Horn is the most comfortable, but is a little too smooth with sweaty (no gloves) hands. Wood varies, but I have no issues other than I think micarta is more robust. ROCK6 |

| Never owned one. For spring turkey hunting ( clearing light brush) to duck hunting( cutting cane / light brush) what size or what model should I order. Would probably order two, and stash one in my SHTF / emergency pack, I keep in car/ truck. |

Dang it...you guys are a bad influence! Just placed an order for a Mini and a 6" Bhura! I have one I bought from Khotang Khukuri Handicraft a few years ago, plus a surplus military one with an pre-WWI date and "broad arrow" marking. (Let me know if anyone wants to see the other maker) Yesterday I ordered two Spyderco knives with CPM blades. That's well over $500 in blades in two days! Rob |
