What does it do that my AR's cannot?  It's shorter, yeah, but I have an SBR coming.  I hate the fact that you can't tell it's empty.  That's the best part of an AR's BHO - the different "thunk" to let you know to reload.

If you don't like it you don't like it.

I like my SBR but I don't like having to get a permission slip to travel out of state with it.

Also, the FS2000 is almost Assault weapons ban proof. Thumbhole stock, no flashhider, pinned muzzle device.. Etc

I also like leaving my rifle out so my wife can grab it if I'm not home.
She can't do that with my SBR (I didn't go trust)

It's got a good trigger, AR's don't have a trigger that sweet

Again, if you don't like it, you don't like it. But I have not shot my AR, in about a year, since I got my FS2000.  I like the forward eject that leaves the brass in a pile, and it is much easier to clean.  For me, the FS is a more convenient, modern design.

Just keep it.

It is a different type of rifle for your collection.

Variety is the spice of life.  Enjoy it.

"It's got a good trigger, AR's don't have a trigger that sweet"

You are kidding right?  My $1,900 FS2000 has about a 10 lb creepy long trigger pull, my $1,000 Colt AR has a $40 trigger job and is at 3 lbs with no creep at all.  If someone could perform magic on the trigger's in the FS like the Trigger Tamer works in the AUG they could sell thousands of them.

I am seriously considering selling the FS now that I have a Steyr AUG A3, it really is no comparison between the two rifles.
I think I want a SCAR more and more as a replacement.

I don't like the FS2000 very much, but I'd recommend KEEPING it. Variety is indeed the spice of life. Get the SCAR as well, and keep the AUG A3 too.

I love my FS2000, it's my favorite rifle.

AND it has the worst trigger ever.

You should keep it because it is unique and builds up finger trigger strength.

However, why keep a gun if you are not going to use it?  What if you died tommorrow––wouldn't it have been fun to have spent the money you get on the FS2000 on something you enjoyed while alive?

i honestly can't see why people hate bullpup triggers so much

there are rifles that are for target shooting, and there are rifles that are not for target shooting

the fs2000 is not

do some finger workouts with one of those grip things or a stress ball

i never got the whole sbr thing....the whole  advantage of a bullpup is that you don't sacrifice barrel length and gain the advantage of a more  compact & balanced weapon. Why would you even bother getting an sbr gun if you already own a bullpup?
Sure you get a better trigger by far... but now your barrel is too dam short and the gun  is all over the place past 300 yrds...or less
And why should I go through all that B.S. and have to pay the gov. 200 bucks etc.. just so I can reduce the power and accuracy of my gun?

I also have an Aug A3 and a bunch of others and was considering selling my fn fs2k  but since i got my tri-rail i have fallen back in love with the gun
and doubt i'll ever sell it....i really love it now more than ever

But if you do not like ur fs2k then you should sell it and use the money to get what you want.

It's still my favorite.  In fact, I put away my stress ball and finger strengthener and just shoot my FS2000 more.

Yes, I was kidding about the trigger being good.  The trigger on my FS2000 was terrible.

You know why I hate the trigger so much, and why I sold my FS2000... because my $600 AK74 has a 4lb trigger with a crisp brake.   For a trigger on a $2000+ gun that is "high technology", it needs a better trigger.

Claiming that shooters need stronger fingers is weak sauce my friend.  It's a cheap cop out, you can't defend the choice by FN to have a bad trigger, so instead you try to personally attack the people that point out the rifles short comings.  Weak sauce my friend, weak sauce indeed.

You have no idea how strong the hands of these people who said the trigger was bad are.... You know nothing about them other than they are honest about a product, that it seems you can't be.

Shoot at something say, 300-400 yards that is no bigger than 2moa at those ranges, for a few hours and tell me the trigger on a FS2000 is decent.  I know you're going to say, it's not that kind of a rifle.  Well you know what, most decent AR's can do that no problem, and at a cost half the price of a FS2000.

BTW, incase nobody knows...  If you callup Bob or the other tech guy at FNHUSA.  They will tell you that if you have any trigger work done it will void the warranty on the gun.

I don't know if you noticed my smiley face, indicating that I was joking

I did not mean to assault any egos

However, fnh states that the fs2000 is for home defense, and law enforcement, neither of which have a shot range past 50 meters on average.
And the trigger is no worse than an aug trigger, because the trigger rod to the hammer pack is so far away on bullpup

trigger Tamers also void warranty on augs

Again I apologize if my jest insulted you

Nice to see we can all be civil.

I have to say, though, that the trigger on my MSAR is A LOT better thaan my FS2000...in fact, I have accidentally doubled my MSAR several times, and I don't have a trigger tamer on it.

I pulled both the FS2000 and the AUGa3 out the safe last night to "play with them" while mama and the kids were at soccer.

I put the Trigger Tamer in my AUG and I will GUARANTEE you without a trigger scale it is no more than 5lbs.  There is about a 1/8" creep and then it is very crisp and repeatable to break it.  Kind of like a 2 stage AR trigger with a little rougher first stage, but the second stage is very nice.

The FS is not only heavy at 10 lbs+ it is loooong and mushy.  This leads to inconsistant accuracy as you are constantly FOCUSED on this annoying crap while trying to desperately hold the reticle still on the target.  I have shot some incredible 20 shot groups with my FS2000 on a 3" shootnsee at 50 yards where all the bullets were in one big hole about 1 1/2" of the target just chewed up and I shot that rapid fire as fast as I could get back on target.  I find if I try and take my time it just pisses me off, now at 100 yards the best I can do is 3-4" with the same ammo.  This is with an EoTech by the way.

Now with my AUG I can put 15 of 20 rounds into the size of a quarter at 50 yards with regularity (I am human so a couple rounds will be close around it-shooter error) because the trigger is REPEATABLE and I can get into a rythym of pull 1/8" get ready and break the shot.  I can shoot about 2- 2 1/2" at 100 yards with a 4MOA Aimpoint -so with the smaller dot on the FS I really should be able to do a little better but I cannot, not on my best days.
This is truly a "deciding" factor to me that the GUN is capable of great accuracy and FN makes great barrels, but the trigger limits you into doing a half ass job of shooting it to its potential, and the fact I paid $300 more for the FS than the AUG and it came with no rails, no sling, no carry case, and a $15 mag, and I had to wait over a year to get a new trigger pack to fix the annoying light primer strikes.

To each his own, I really liked the FS until I got my AUG, now it is collecting dust.

just curious, what ammo were you using for the FS2000 and the Aug A3?

The AUG is 1/9" and LOVES the 55 grain Lake City Arsenal XM193.  It shoots IMI 55 grain close, stange enough it is not quite as accurate with 62 grain ammo as my 1/7 guns.
I also shot some of the Privi 69 grain HP and it is very close to point of impact to use as a defense/hunting round.

My FS2000 LOVES IMI 55 grain .223 spec ammo, not so much 5.56 spec,  I shot both out of it.  It does OK with 62 grain various ammo and I will shoot some new IMI 62 grain I just got next time I go to the range.  I had some of this 55 grain IMI ammo from a couple years ago, wish I would have bought 10K of it, but I did not.  The 75 grain Hornady is pretty accurate out of the FS2000 as well.

I have not shot steel case out of either, I may try that one day as well

Even with the horrible trigger, I found that if I concentrate, I get 1.75 inch groups at 200 yards with my FS2000.  Of course, that is off sandbags front and rear, with a Redfield 2-7 scope and accu-range reticle...69 grain match bullets.
