Hello everybody, I purchased a Kies master blaster muzzle device. It's like a PIG or any other linear comp, but a bit smaller. I'm building the girlfriends first SBR and I wanted to keep the weight down. It looks like it's going to work great for that. My question is: It doesn't come with a washer. I emailed Kies and they responded promptly saying that they do not use a crush or peel washer. They say to use loctite and put it on the threads. This sounds strange to me. I'm wondering if anybody has used them and if so, how did you put it on? I'm going to have to send my upper off to ADCO to have it cut down anyway, so they will be putting it on when they assemble the upper. What do you guys with lots of SBR experience say? This is my second and the first was a factory upper so it was all a no brainer. Thanks for the help. Green.

I have no idea what that thing is, but if it doesn't need to be indexed, you don't need a washer of any kind.
I run A1 flash hiders on some of my guns without washers because crushwashers mess with alignment if you are mounting a supressor, and peel washers don't do anything you need if your attachment doesn't need to be indexed. Torque it on, and stick a fork in it. |
