Ever use catchers leg guards? Or would like to have use/used them?

Has anyone here used them?

Often I see pics of our troops in kneeling in/on rubble, they have knee pads but their shins still come in contact.

What if you were to drop down quick ...

Is there a similar product out there?

How about elbow pads that also protect the forearm?

Never saw or heard of anyone using them. Never really felt a need.

Probably only in riot control.

I see mountain bike users with em sometimes. Makes sense, too, because the first thing that happens is your leg nails the rest of the bike if you trip up.

I've seen similar (thicker plastic though) shinguards for playing outdoor roller hockey and thought the same thing as you danpass.

Plus they wouldn't fall down like the regular ones do... But I bet they're pretty doggone hot.

Brigade Quartermasters used to sell something very similar to catcher's leg guards. They may still, I dunno. Probably not altogether that bad an idea, really.

seems that the forearm pads would be more useful than the shinguards
