Could someone please help me ID the smaller (edit: right) knife in the picture?
Received these from my grandfather (as well as a knife which appears to have a spatula made from the sheath!).
Thanks in advance!

M3 Fighting knife who made it? Post a pic of the pommel.

I can post a picture, but it is devoid of marks; just a loop of maybe leather, really tight against the end.
I am dumb.
There is a raised mark...brb taking picture.

The star burst pattern on the tang means that it is genuine. The reproductions were not made like that.Blade marked or on the cross-guard?

Coat all that steel with oil to kill the active rust, nice blade by the way.

Thanks, will do. Has a sheath too.
The cross-guard has some wiggle but not bad. Worried about the leather due to age.

Dry leather shrinks. Consult a knife collectors forum to see what will rejuvenate the grip without discoloring it.

So, can I use Lansky Honing Oil on the blade? Or is that just for when I sharpen it?
What oil gives me the biggest bang for the buck?

Just use gun oil like Rem oil. Do not sharpen the blade especially if it has never been sharpened before, it hurts the value.

It looks like it definitely has been sharpened before, but I hear ya about doing it myself.
Gun oil works. Already put Lansky on there too. I'll apply some Hoppes to it too!
thanks.
