I have an old Knight MK II .54 muzzy that I hunt with. At the end of last season I messed up the no 11 cap bolt, don't ask, so I replaced it with the 209 breach plug and bolt. Well I hate the red full plastic jackets or maybe I just hate the capper tool. The jackets are a good idea but with a scope on the rifle it’s almost impossible to get the nipple capped, using the capper tool works ok but the tool doesn't hold the jacket securely so it’s easy to drop the cap on the ground. Now most of the time this isn't a problem as I cap the rifle and head off through the woods but every once in a while there is an opportunity while traveling to and from my hunting spot to chase after an animal and a hate fumbling around trying to get my muzzy capped.
Anyone know of a better capper for the red plastic jackets then the Knight one? I was also looking at the breach plug that takes 209’s without the jacket but I am not sure if they would fit in the MK II, anyone know if they fit? |

I like my Disc rifle with the yellow primer holders better than the red ones. |
