So I was looking at my KAC OHG, and was just wondering why its got those dimples down the body... My only thought might be that they help retain  the baffle stack within the body...maybe???

points were the baffles are welded...me thinks.

plug welds

They may have stamped the holes for the plug welds and that would explain the "dimpled" holes prior to welding.

I would have guessed to increase surface area to allow for faster coooling... but I don't own one to try out .

Well, I thought that at first, but they dont seem deep enough to make a difference in that aspect, so im gonna go with something involving the baffles... And if it is, why is the OHG the only can to have these

The "dimples" are welds.

ok i looked some up and i think i know the one your talking about, so instead of having a baffle stack inserted into the tube they weld each individual baffle in place?

Each baffle is welded into the main tube.

Plenty on the KAC site.

Knights actually dimples the outer tube to meet the baffle then welds them into place. Doug olsen explained this in a very early Small Arms Review. He said that it actually allows air to pass but not flame thus putting out the fire and assisting with cooling.

so there is the center hole for the bullet to pass as well as around the outside of the baffle?  interesting....  would be cool to find a cutaway demo picture or an X-ray image of one

Ops Inc and Surefire use cores that also allow some air to pass around the baffles through a small space between the tube and spacers/baffles.

AAC doesn't have the same ability (as far as I know they sometimes have to machine the welds to get the core to fit into the outer tube) so there are examples of silencers that are efficient with and without that.
