Anyone know what thread pitch the set screws are that secure the adjustable butt pad?
I want to thread a QD sling mount into one of the holes. TIA |

While I don't know the thread pitch, I can tell you this.
the silver colored insert that the set screws thread into are pitifully held in place by a tiny thin layer of polymer from the buttpad. My friend overtightened his set screw and it pulled out the insert from the stock. I would not risk putting a QD mount on there as the weight of the gun loaded may eventually pull it out or crack the thin layer of polymer holding in that insert. |

I'm now thinking about drilling all the way through and running a bolt completely through the stock at that location. |

That sounds doable and stronger. Let me know how it turns out. May want to get a "Chicago Screw" type setup so that it is flat on the opposite side of the QD mount.

I thought about that after looking at it a little more. I'm now thinking about drilling all the way through and running a bolt completely through the stock at that location. |
