Hello all, this is my first post in the FAL section. I have aquired an L2A1 FAL made from an original Australia parts kit including an original 30 rnd mag. The receiver is Enterprise Arms. On the floor plate of the magazine, I noticed today it says "Made in the USA"
Is this proper and or correct? I want to list the rifle on GB, but I don't want to mislead and/or screw anyone with my description. This is one rifle that I am not very knowledgeable on, Thanks for your input. |

I don't claim to be an expert but the magazine and a lot of the parts on the rifle actually look Canadian. I think you have a C2 mag and rifle kit... Any markings on the barrel and bolt/carrier? The rear sight, bipod legs, pistol grip, front sight ears, and other parts are definitely Aussie/NZ. Someone else's Aussie L2A1 build from the FAL Files. 
A C2 looks very similar except for the rear sight. OP's rifle. 
Notice the rivets in the bipod legs are the same pattern as the Aussie pic, and not the same as the C2. OP: Look for a pair of crossed flags stamped on the barrel. This is the marking that Australian L2A1s have, indeed all of their SLRs, I believe. |
