My father has asked me to find him a left handed, stainless steel, wood stocked .270. He is very particular and will not buy another type of gun. I cannot find a manufacturer who makes one, but Remington (and also Savage) make left handed models in stainless w/ a plastic stock and left handed blued rifles with wood stocks. If I were to buy a 700 CDL and XCR in left handed versions, would I just be able to swap the stocks myself as a drop in replacement. Would this actually work?

if you get a left handed stainless rifle,  then find a left handed stock from the same manufacturer (I.E. remington stock for Remington Gun) and get it in the same action length (there are two,  long action and short action) it would work fine.

or you can maybe try to find an aftermarket stock like a hogue or boyds or something for the lefty action.
