A local gun shop has a NIB Remington 870P pistol grip (No buttstock) 12 gauge with the factory extended mag tube for sale.

It's kind of getting my attention. However I'm unable to find that model listed on Remington's site, GunBroker, or Guns America.

Doe's anyone have any price or other information available on this weapon?  The LGS is asking somewhere around $600.

Fo or No?

Remington has made a lot of different Police models so it's hard to say, but I "think" that the only pistol grip-only models they've made was the US Marshal-only Witness Protection model which had a 14 inch barrel and a standard wood stock which was cut down to a pistol grip.
Needless to say, these were not sold to the public.

My best guess is it's a gun that someone removed the stock from and replaced with an after market pistol grip.
This would make sense if it's an 18 or 20 inch gun.

For $600 you can buy a brand new 870P Police model.

Does it have a box?  What does the sticker on the end say?

If you're going to build a 14" bbl non-NFA smoothbore that is @ least 26" long, and you want it to be an 870, then FO.  Otherwise, the Mossberg PGs are quite a bit cheaper.  12 ga 00 is not going to be fun out of a PG, btw.  If you want to shoot buck out of a PG, get a 20 ga.

I went back to the gun shop today to take another look and to get the Remington UPC number.

I was to late, it had already been sold.  I guess we can close this thread.

Thanks everyone.
