i remember LaRue had this knife for sale for a while, but it seems they don't have it anymore. Anybody if they'll ever bring it back ?

IIRC it was a one-off run.

Might be able to fine one used somewhere.

More rare than the BattleLight.  They pop up for sale and disappear back into your dreams faster than you can spend your $.

Seriously, I do not know why they don't become even more vertically integrated and produce their own blade. Seems like a no brainier to me.

My understanding it they were made by a custom maker for Larue.  If someone can recall the maker you can order something similar.

Good luck finding one, and be prepared to spend $xxx if you do....

$450 for a 440c blade? Pass.

If it's not at least S30V or 154cm, I'm not interested.

440c is cheap steel.

All depends upon the heat treat gentleman. I believe Randalls are made out of a 440B equivalent, and yet there stainless is good to go.

I wouldn't be put off by a properly treated 440C blade.

1095 is cheap steel, yet still one of the best IMO.

John Horrigan makes custom handmade knives.  Our knife was machined on our CNCs.  It's been almost a decade ... I bought a whiz bang sharpener, and iirc John may have sharpened some with it while showing us how it worked.  But again, it was 10 years ago.

I'm no fanboy, but I've never had any gear as bulletproof as the m68 Larue mount that I had. If Mark designed a hard use folder, I'd be first in line.
