I will first add that I am not a shotgun guy. I have been a member here for a few years and this is the first time in this section. I was recently given a LAW-12 shotgun in near mint condition. I see them on gunbroker ranging from 6-900 dollars. A local gunstore offerd me 450 store credit. What says the hive? Try and sell privately with all the hassels associated or go shopping immediatly from a local gun store?

I think you would get more cash selling it privately.  $450 store credit is really low imo.

ETA: I had one I bought for $350 in the early 90's and sold it in the late 90's for $700, and that was to a storefront FFl holder.

$450 is about all they're worth regardless of what people say. it's just a collector's item.

I have a line on one right now for $350, mint gun, no box. lo-cap tube. I'm seriously thinking of buying it just to strip it for spares to go with my SPAS-12.

Just like anything, a private sell comes down to finding the right buyer. Yes ,as stated, it is more of a collectors gun. However I love mine, now that I know what to feed it!!LOL!! If you find someone that knows what it is you could easily get more than $450 for it. Shoot, try posting it on here for $500 see what happens.
