I was about to pick one of these up and saw it is only recommended for CCI and Winchester primers. Will it work with Wolf SRM primers? I assume it would and they don't want you to use it with soft bench rest primers.

Any other experience with this tool? thanks.

I've been using two of them for 12 years.  One for small primers and one for large primers.  Good product.

I have primed thousands if not tens of thousands of cases with Remington, Winchester, and CCI primers.  I also never had an issue with BR primers either.

I just broke mine trying to force it on a cartridge that wasn't reamed like it should be   I ordered another one and threw the old one in the box of Lee stuff I need to send back. It's a great unit for the price if you don't do stupid stuff like me.

In the 20 years I've had one (2 actually) I've seated every brand of primer with them.

I have 3 or 4 threads on this damn tool.
USUALLY it works great.
My problem was that I had 2 #4 shell holders and 1 wasnt machined correctly and it's a PIA to load primers with it.
Lots of cussing, spilled primers and mangled brass before I realized the shell holder was out of spec.
Modify your order and get 2 shell holders.
Other than that I love the tool.

ETA - I love federal primers 205 and 205M's. They work fine in the tool - dont tell anyone though. I even put 100 in at a time............

Make sure you order the holders also! The ones that comes with your dies will not work! As me how I know that one!

Thanks again.

I saw the note from LEE and I did order a new shell holder for this press. I would have ordered two if I saw the post about out of spec holder. If it gives me issues I'll order another. Anything has to be better than the priming system on my LnL AP press.

I've loaded many thousands of all kinds of primers with mine, including Federals. The only problems were caused by me not useing the tool correctly.
