I am not the biggest Lee fan, but these have always intrigued me. I picked up one a few weeks ago off EE for a price I couldn't pass up. It is most definitely has a simple elegance about it. Slow? Heck yeah! But so cool and 'retro'. Hipster reloading? ![]() Video for those that have no idea what the Lee Loader is. |

Video for those that have no idea what the Lee Loader is. I get what you mean. It feels like old west reloading. I've got one for loading .45-70 black powder. |
| I have one for my .270, .308, 30-30. Loaded a hell of a lot of rounds with those thing, for a long time the .270 one that my Dad gave me for Christmas when I was 12 years old was the only way I had to get rounds together for hunting season every year, man that was over 40 years ago. Took a lot of deer back in the day with rounds loaded with the old Classic's |

Oh yeah!...when I was 19 or 20 I loaded quite a few .38/.357 bullets for my two S&W revolvers. It wasn't a bad setup for low volume, straight wall, pistol rounds. After Hillary is elected, and we're all homeless nomads roaming the land trying to survive, these may become the hot ticket for loading in the field with meager supplies. Que up music from "Mad Max" about now... |

They can be fun for a change of pace.
I have some for various rifle calibers. Very usable and very portable. The precision kits with the neck turners and primer seating tool were hi tech in the late 50s early 60s. If you have or find the shotgun shell loaders, they are worth $$$. |
