Lefty M82A1 safety question

I haven't disassembled it. But looking at exploded parts diagrams, the safety lever looks like standard AR stuff. Anyone know if a standard AR ambi safety lever will work?

If it's anything like the 107A1, the safety selector is has similar dimensions but isn't the same. The section that would clear the trigger has a lot more clearance on the 107A1 safety.

The safety looks the same. The areas that work with the trigger are dimensionally different. It will install, but not work.

I hated going to weddings. All the grandmas would poke me and say "You're next". They stopped that when I started doing it to them at funerals.

Thanks for the replies. I will just get my machinist friend to modify the right side of the original selector to accept a lever.

LOL. I learned that one first hand. Just different enough to fit but not work.

Probably the easiest thing to do. Pull a measurement off an ambi safety lever have a slot milled and drill and tap.
