Newb here, have been eyeing the pitbull kit for a while now. Trying to decide now between the MOD monocular kit and pitbull, leaning toward the mod 3. What is the difference between the avs and pvs style lenses? I have been googling for a while now but havent really found definite answers besides the coatings are different and the accessories that can be screwed into the front lens.

Those are pretty much the differences.  ANVS lenses have a special coating and glass that make it easier to use in a cockpit without too much bloom.

Less edge to edge distortion on anvis glass. Anvis glass also requires more adjustment to bring objects into focus but it has better fine focus.

Anvis glass is almost 2x the cost. Owning both, my suggestion is to get the normal version unless you already have the Anvis glass, or money is no concern. If the latter is the case, you would certainly need anvis glass to stare at your ferrari.
