Can anyone recommend an inexpensive source for Leupold scopes?

I'm leaning towards either a VX-II 3-9 x 40mm or VX-II 4-12 x 40mm (AO). I know there are many other Leupolds to choose from but I'm trying to keep within a budget. I really don't see that much need for a 4-12 power scope but I would prefer having an adjustable objective. I could also save myself about $100.00 by going with the 3-9 power. I plan on mounting it on a RRA flat-top DCM with removable front sight. How should I mount this? I like the ARMS set-ups and know that I'll at least need a set of 30mm to 1" shims.

Opinions appreciated.

You won't beat SWFA, their prices are good and their customer service is to notch.
Look at some of their USED scopes, most are shot show passarounds that are new.

I just bought a scope from premierreticles.com.  They and SWFA are worth checking out as they have the lowest prices I have seen.

They have good prices on non-customized scopes as well as some interesting conversions, but I don't know if they carry the VXII.

By the way, I have had a VXII 2x7 on my primary hunting rifle (Ruger M77 30-06 for 20 years, and I love it.

[Edited to add, I checked my own link and they have the VXII's.]

Gene Sears Suppy in El Reno, Oklahoma.
I don't have their number on hand but 1411
sould do the trick.

Hands down the least expensive and they ship the same day.

I've bought my last 5 Leupolds from them. Ask for Mark

Speaking of Premier Reticles, I just had them install target turrets on a 4-12 x 40 AO for my flattop and it was sent, and returned within a week.  Quality products with superior service!!

Try ebay.  I've seen and purchased a few scopes at great prices but the best prices I have ever found are here at ar15.com in equipment exchange under sights and optics.  just be patient.  you'll find what you're looking for at a great price eventually.  good luck,

Save your money & go with a Nikon scope. As good as or better than Luepold & about $200 cheaper.

Nikon scopes are great values, but I've not been impressed w/ the Buckmaster line. IMO, Leupold'd VX-II 3-9x40 in gloss for $179 at academy is the best "value priced" scope.  BTW, local Sports authority has most of the Nikon scope line on clearance.  ZT

I live local to Sears and SWFA, Bear Basin, and even Cabela's beats them on a regular basis. They are not high on my list of recommended dealers. There are better places to do your high end business.
