This will sound retarded.... but I know the code and now it won't open. Left idle for a few months (main stuff is accessible and not in it) new battery installed. Still a NO GO. I'm reading about factory reset codes etc. But to be locked out of your own safe is a bit frustrating. I can get the local safe guys to drill it, but I'd prefer troubleshooting first. I can't find anything about a permanent lockout on wrong codes (if the kids played with it) I know it temporarily locks you out after a few wrong tries. |

A prologic makes a motor noise when it try’s to open Reseat the cable on the back of the keypad. Remove battery, remove cable and reseat few times. This cable sometimes needs to be reseated Put a good Duracell battery in it Have a dead blow hammer in hand and try to open when you hit the last number start hitting near the face There is a little motor inside that moves a pin to allow the lock to open Do not keep tension on the opening handle when you do try to open. Pressure keeps it from opening Push last number, hit fast and then hard and fast You may need to do this 10 times if it the motor is the problem ( on high usage sites the brushes in the motor get worn out and stop making contact the vibrations will get the brushes to work for a second and may get the lock open one more time) Is there any chance the keyboard got any water on it? Those keyboards are cut membrane plastic layer and water wicks inside the layers and kill the keyboard by corroding the connections or shortening them |
