[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Light for SUB2000

I want to mount a light on my KelTec. Any suggestions?

KT sells a short rail the mounts under the forward-most part of the HG, straight under the barrel. I'll go take a pic but it will be tomorrow before I can post it.

I really prefer to have a light between 1 and 3 o'clock on a carbine, not at 6 like that factory rail offers. Here is one of mine where I just drilled two small hole through the right HG and mounted a simple, short rail (Steamlight unit IIRC) for the mounting of a M3/TLR/etc.

This set-up works pretty well on such a small, light carbine and doesn't interfere with folding whatsoever.

I'm not a big fan of the under barrel mount, myself.

And I saw your pic of the side mounted optic, also.
Looks like I have myself a project for the holidays.
