Put another 50 rounds through it today. That makes a whopping 100 rounds. I know, need to get off my butt and shoot some more. I decided to try clipping the firing pin spring first instead of tossing it. I clipped about a 1/3 of the length and that seemed to take care of the light primer strikes. I was using the iron sights at 100 yards shooting at a 10" round swinging plate. Ammo used was some light 52 hp handloads, some USA 55 gr ball, Norinco 55 gr ball and Fed Eagle 55 gr ball. All fed and functioned good except the Fed Eagle. The Eagle ammo would make it short stroke and just push the empty case back in the chamber. I turned the gas adjustment to the 2nd position and it functioned fine. I'm assuming once I get more rounds through it that this will go away. I'm impressed with the accuracy. This was very informal shooting mainly just to get some rounds through it. Even with the crappy stock iron sights, all four different kinds of ammo seemed to have similar point of impact. I was just leaning on the barnyard fence for a rest and consistently ringing the gong. I ordered an EoTech for it. Any of you recommend some BUIS that co-witness with the EoTech on the FS2000? |
| I'm using Yankee Hill BUIS, co-witness great. One problem, front sight is way too close because of the short sight radius. As wide as the paper on the 100yd highpower target (20"+) at 100 yds. I'm still 20/20, barely, and the post is fuzzed too. Gonna find a NM narrow front post for it. Greatly exaggerates sight adjustments because the sights are so close together, 1 click on the front was about 3 inches. They are for back-up though. |
