What tube were these units shipped with in mid- to late nineties? I expect it to be most likely OMNI III or maybe IV specced. The one I looked at had P43 phospor screen. What are the possible replacement tubes (OMNI V, VI and VII specced. Any DEPs?) for this unit?

It might even be a M891-1201 ( Omni II ) - These were used in those sights.

Anyway, the Ranger needs a mx10130 type tube ( non inverting ) .

Like you'd find in a PVS-7. More recent ones should be available.

If that tube came with P43 screen it's probably that one. According to the specs you've listed of the different tubes in the OMNI-tread it seems like the M891-1201 has OMNI III specs when it comes to resolution, snr and photocatode sensivity (and FOM), but only OMNI I specs for gain.
