[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Loading for the Grendel?

I have an AR-15 in 6.5 Grendel. Load data is becoming more available, but it is still a little scarce. I was wondering if any of you have any experience with the Grendel and IMR 3031? I used Quickload and worked up a load with 120gr Ballistic tips and 27.5gr of 3031. It shoots great and is pretty fast in my 16 inch barrel. I don't see any obvious signs of pressure, but I would like to double check my findings. Thanks!

Go to the Alexander Arms web site, they have a rather extensive list of load data there. I would trust his data over any other source, it's loaded within the design limitations of the cartridge and the AR-15 based actions.

Thanks, I have all of AA's load data and then some. I find most of his data very hot and very optimistic in my rifle, looking for more and better data.

No experience here with 3031, you might want to check the reloading section on the Grendel forum. Lots of info and good people there.
