| I read a lot about Blackhawk, Eagle, and Tactical Tailor on this board. What do you think about London Bridge gear? I like the idea of made in the USA. Is it worth the money? How does it compare to these other brands? Do they sell anything other than what's on the website? Where is a good place to buy their stuff? |
| i like london gear, its alot better than BHI, i think. I have a few items from them and they are very well made, on par with eagle. I was a big time BHI user until about 2 years ago, when they screwed me on a subgun drop leg set up. BHI has gone down hill big time, since they went more mainstream. but i digress, London gear is solid stuff. |

I've had several pieces of London Bridge Equipment and I think it's well made and on par with Eagle gear. Personally, I wouldn't put Blackhawk in the same catagory as Eagle, but different people have different experiences with their stuff. London Bridge would be a huge step above Blackhawk in my opinion. London Bridge Trading Co. Equipment is very expensive however, and for that reason, it may not be entirely worth it vs. one of the other brands. I've purchased my LBT items locally in the Ft. Bragg area and don't know of any dealers to refer you to on the web. My experience has only been with their holsters, web gear, and smaller backpacks, they were all great so far. I guess the best advice would be don't buy it blind. Try and get your hands on it before you spend that much money so you can be sure it will work for you. Pinz |

I have sold many a 75th Ranger pack made by LBT and I have one myself, all surplus, and they are one of the best packs I have seen and use. Sold a few packs of guys going back to the sandbox and they loved them as well. Some of the thickest 1000 cordura nylon I have seen and built like a tank. LBT gear you cannot go wrong. Pricey new but it will LAST. BH other than the Berry Amendment stuff is made in Nam. Buy American if at all possible. Just my two rubles! Shane |

I have several pieces of LBT equipment and have been pleased with all of them. The build quality may not be as apparent to some, but from the standpoint of someone who builds custom gear and has learned a bit about its construction over the years, LBT really goes out of their way to over engineer the stuff they sell. Is it worth the price? I guess it is a matter of opinion. There is no doubt they are on the high end, and for everyday range use it probably doesn't qualify as necessity over any other quality gear company. But for someone going into harms way or just an individual that demands top quality stuff, it is near the top of the list, IMO. |

I live right across the street from London Bridge Outfitters in Virginia Beach, and they are very professional, very nice, and make everything RIGHT UPSTAIRS! This is a really great shop. Their gear is pricey, but so is everything that you only have to buy once. I have never needed to replace a single item from them. I brought a ripped zipper to them once, and in ten minutes they handed it back to me, fixed. (It was grossly abused by the user, me.) I will continue to shop there. In fact, I'm going there in a few minutes. Squid |
Dude you live to very close to me then! Dinger lives close by too. Let's go shooting! |
I live in Kings Forest! It depends, I'll have the check the wife's schedule as she usually teaches on Thrusday nights. Va_dinger and I were talking about shooting Friday evening at Lafayette. If we do you are more than welcome to come along with us and shoot for free. Sorry to hijack your thread Tim_in_CO |

Lafayette? Is this nearby? Not familiar with this, except, of course, the river of same name that runs through Tidewater. I'm not doing much Friday, with the exception of retiring my current Chief and heading home around 1500. If you aren't leaving before that, let me know. |
| I'm the third or fourth owner of LBT 3 day pack. I picked it up to use as a boat bag during our last deployment and it held up very well in the real harsh salt-water environment. It went swimming several times with me and was none the worse for wear. I bought a EOD pack when i got back and use it for a day pack now. They are pricey but worth it, I think. |
| I own a tactical flotation vest from LBT that I have had for several years now and love it. The vest is top notch in my books and works well for me. I also have to tell you that I lived in New Orleans and my house was 14 feet under water for 12 days. I managed to locate most of my gear and I recoverd my vest. After about 2 or 3 days of cleaning and sanatizing the vest came out great. I still have it and it is loaded with gear. |
