So the other models are steel ? They dont make the aluminum ones anymore ? Were the aluminum ones a bad thing ? Thanks for the help

I guess they did it as a one off kinda deal, regular models are steel. As to making more, that's up to Barrett if they do any other models in aluminum. Just remember that you have a rare model of a cool .50.

Kinda like finding a green AR-50, they're out there but you don't see them very often.

Just might want to add plugs to that. Breaks do a great job of reducing the recoil. But boy o boy do they blow that blast right back at ya.

All M99's  are made with an  aluminum receiver.  Post up pics of what you have.

Use double hearing protection, foam and muffs, etc. Don't forget to wear safety glasses or goggles. Back blast carries all sorts of crap with it past your eyes.

Should be a requirement. That a new shooter have someone there making a video of the first shot.

That looks nice. I have a 99 with the 32" barrel. Brings a smile to my face every time. This guys shoots it standing up. HE has the 4 port brake. Go to 5:30. I'd be willing to try if I could hold it more steady. I guess that would be a good excuse to lift some weights.

Nice video. Thanks for posting. How in the hell do you forget your hearing protection when shooting a 50 BMG? He is lucky he has any hearing at all. I use double hearing protection and still hear mine pretty good. OP, post a picture of your new toy in the 50 photo thread.
