A poll is easier than a bunch of answers in a thread that you can't figure out without too much work. This makes it easy for everyone I think.

I've been wanting everyone's opinion myself so here it is.

Without knowing what type of shooting you want to do, impossible to answer.

A SOCOM is probably not the best choice for shooting CMP matches.

I prefer the standard....but get whatever you seem drawn to. No sense in buying a rifle based on what OTHER people want...

Is it your first M1A? If so, get a standard. If it's your second, get something different.
