Just installed a low-profile ARMS scope mount on the M1A.

It appears to be very low, which is what I was looking for, but now I'm concerned about the ring and scope combination to purchase, as there seems to be a good possibility fit problems when using scopes with larger optics.

I would like to get the lowest possible setup to avoid a cheek rest pad, someting for medium range (100-200 yds).

If you have this type of mount, please let me have your recommendations, or provide links where I might find information on the subject.

Thank you!

I have the ARMS 18 mount and tried some different rings I had laying around the house. The scope I was using had a40mm objective.
I found that I had enough room between the objective and rifle but not the eye piece and the rear sight on the rifle. At this time I tried to look through the scope and as low as the scope was I needed a cheek rest.
I bought the ARMS #22m scope rings, which are plenty high enough, I might be able to get away with the lows but have plenty enough room to add a larger scope if I want too.
Cheek rests, there are many different types. You will need one.
