| I just bought a Springfield Armory M1A. I have a large supply of Sierra 175 Grain Match bullets as well as 168 gr. You folks probably have your favorite pet load for these bullets. I just want to pick your collective brain on where to start. Any ideas or suggestions? |

Pig,
BLC-2, 4895, Re-15, VarGet.... all work well in the M1-A. Best, Swampy Garands forever __________________ 2007 NRA Missouri State 600 yard Service Rifle Champion. 168gr SMKs 39.5gr Varget good out to 300yds 2400fps average (nice low recoil load)
175gr SMK's 42.5gr Varget good out to 600-700yds 2575fps average 175gr SMK's 44.0gr Varget good for 1K yds 2675fps average All loads listed above use LC69 cases trimmed to 2.005 with primer pockets uniformed and flash holes de-burred. I'm using CCI200 primers for the 168gr loads and CCI BR-2's for the 175gr loads. The 168's have a oal of 2.85" and the 175's are 0.020" off the lands. These loads are what I shoot out of my match prepped M1A, Kreiger 1-10 twist barrel. |
