[ARCHIVED THREAD] - M1 Garand Clip Problem

When shooting my Garand after the third or fourth round the clip pops halfway out of the clip well and jams the gun. I push it back in (Garand thumb sucks) and it works fine for the remaining rounds. What do I have to do to fix this problem.

Replace the clip latch and spring. If it was me, I'd replace every spring in the rifle while I was at it. Orion 7 or Fulton for the parts.

Well I'd definitely replace the clip latch spring. It's a common issue. The actual clip latch may be fine. If you order it's not a overly expensive part to throw in your spares kit.

+1 for a orion 7 spring kit. They're great people, (fast too!)

alternatively you can buy a Fulton extra power clip latch spring. They have a great rep too.
