Hey fellas, I'm getting into the m1a game and had a question on
Barrels.  One that I am looking at has a 22". Stainless barrel.  As far
As accuracy is concerned is stainless the best

way to go? If not
What are other options/concerns?

A stainless barrel well be more accurate than a chrome lined steel barrel.  Depending on how well you shoot you may see little difference.

Stainless steel or chrome-moly steel will/can both be equally good. What counts is who made the rifling.
A chrome LINED barrel is great for carrying through the swamps for days and days. It will not be the most accurate barrel that is available.

A stainless barrel  does not make it more accurate tha a chromlined barrel.I had 7.62build my TRW kit for me with thier forged rec. That rifle out shoots my loaded stainless rifle!!The TRW barrel is 48 yrs old!.Stainless  barrels can be  but I would not say will be more accurate. You re right it depends on how well you can shoot. to see the difference.
