I am about to get another one, after regretting selling the old one.
It is a USGI issue.
I never got to use one much. I know that it effects accuracy.
How much. Is it going to open up my groups of just change the POI?

Both. It was designed to stabilize the M14 in full automatic firing, just like the BAR that it would resemble.
