Some "Mod 08" or whatever you want to call them were hybrids of sorts. AAC built the first batch (or maybe two) of them with flat blast baffles but the rest of the parts were the upgraded, new parts. There wasn't too much difference sound wise but on some shorter host weapons there could sometimes be a noticeable difference in back pressure with the flat blast baffle models having higher pressure.
