For those interested in a breaching device for the M4, Vang Comp offers one that is a simple add on. It replaces the standard magazine cap and also has a sling point incorporated in it for those who have an after market full length tube installed. The unit comes from Vang Comp with a new magazine spring and metal follower for $125.00. Like all things from Vang, the build quality is top notch. If you can remove the cap off of a coke bottle you can do this modification to your M4 in a matter of minutes. I tested the unit out against a few door jambs and the teeth are very effective at digging in and providing positive barrel placement. Simply placing the unit against the door jamb and pushing lightly is enough to make the device dig in. Lou are you with Vang? Also is the gun in the phot durecoated or something? I would think the extension should match better and the gun has a weird color tint to it compared to mine. I just comared my 870 extension from vang it and does blend much better on my M4 than this photo shows. Looks nice regardless. I have several things from Vang on a few shooties already and all are top notch. Doe this extension actualyl function as a extension, IE 1 round? I just see the new spring and was wondering if it did? Also it appears the sling mount is attached via a external snap ring, I assume that it is okay to remove if one did not want it right? If not with Vang let me know and I will call him direct. Looks nice still EDIT I see the paint on the inside of the barrel on the last photo. |
I am not with Vang. The gun in the photo is OD Green Duarcoated, the breaching device is not, it has the finish that Vang puts on it.
No, the breaching device replaces the M4 end cap /magazine nut. The other versions(Remington 870,etc) that Vang sells are extensions with the breaching device on the end.
I don't see why not. |
