I have a M60 machine gun barrel on a dummy M60 I use for display since I collect Korea/Vietnam era clothing and equipment. The parts on it are all real except the reciever, which is solid metal. Anyway I was looking at the barrel and I noticed the numbers were stamped kind of similar to rifle barrels that are dated. It looks like the barrel is dated 7 1966 but Im not sure. Can anyone help me out.

You're correct, 7-66 is July 1966.
