So, I just picked up a BWA DualFeed lower and likely going to do a FRT with MCR upper. Will be a 16” barrel, as I don’t want it to be an SBR. Going to be an expensive project, but something I’d like to screw around with over the next year or two. For all the research I’ve done, A LOT of people recommend an MG34 spring. I have been leaning that way, so wanted to see what other people are running (buffer type, tube length, etc). Being I hear a lot of how heavy the spring is, I am sort of leaning towards finding a stock that I can remove and then unscrew the buffer tube. Figuring that would allow easier maintenance, without worrying about the buffer retainer being needed. Pin the upper on, put the buffer/spring in… then thread in the tube. Takedown in the opposite. Was looking at the Magpul PRS Lite, with the DT-PR as second option. Those are carbine tube setups… zero issue going with a longer tube, as long as I can find a decent stock option. Was looking at the MOE rifle stock… but would need to give it a shave/haircut for the charging handle. Again, just looking for insight and opinions. Going to be an ongoing build, but looking to get the lower squared away over this winter, and order the upper in the spring. |

I'm using a carbine tube, MagPul PR stock, and the spring/spacer which came with my FightLite Raptor upper. I had a few issues in the middle part of the 200-round break-in period, but that may have been ammo related, as much as anything else. I've put a few hundred rounds through it since with zero problems. With the Hoffman Super Safety installed, I'm getting at least 800 rounds per minute. I haven't had a single stoppage of any kind since about round 120 of the break-in period. Attached File |

I picked up an MCR after selling my Shrike. So far I've had no issues with it during the break in process. I started out with a VLTOR A5 stock and VLTOR A5 H2 buffer with the MCR spring/spacer. I just purchased a kynshot 9mm buffer and David Tubb AR15 spring and AR10 spring to test out and slow the MCR down. Springs just arrived yesterday so hoping to get out in the next week to test. Just need a timer now.. I know amphibian has tested this set up and should be between 600-700 rpm depending on what Tubb spring is used. |

They seem like the perfect beltfed CAR stock. Kinda look like a pkm stock |

The flat surface on the front is great for placing your non-firing hand in order to pull the gun into your shoulder. |

It isn't perfect, but it was about 1/4 of the price of a real M-60 bipod. It's mounted to the gun using an adapter I got from an ARFCOM member. |
