Ar
you are correct about the front bolt that lower one is for 2 3/4" shells. The sizing I'm not sure about it. I'm surprised the manuals don't say anything about adjusting it for 2 3/4" or 3" .. I would suggest the tech line For Technical Support call: (800) 797-4632 or e-mail Technical Support. to see what they say.. .. sorry cant be more help |

Thanks everyone, I think the back bolt should be on the bottom slot. Makes sense, if you ever convert it to 3", everything has to be 1/4" higher. I lost the little detent ball while mucking with this despite being careful. Replacement arrived yesterday so I'm good to go. Like I said I dumped shot, and it wedged a shell in the sizing collet, the shell was stuck tight, when I removed the shell the collet was bent at one pedal, or wedged, so I decided to remove it. Removing the collet requires getting the shell plate out of the way. Not using my noodle nor reading the manual I separated the base from the rest of the machine and was able to get the collet out. All I needed to do was raise the big spring up 3 inches, wedge it with and allan wrench thru the hole in the column, now the shell plate can be slid up. Live and learn! |
