Some foreign militaries uses the one like you pictured also. |

It’s the MK17 lower. The one you’re used to seeing is the SCAR-H & 17 lower. People like to use SCAR-H/MK17/17 interchangeably, but they’re all actually slightly different guns (different in configuration). SCAR-H = FN Herstal Original Product MK17 = Custom SCAR-H for US MIL SCAR 17 = SCAR-H Export/LEO Version 0-45-90 (Select-Fire) Lower is used and mostly seen on the SCAR-H and 17. 0-90-180 (Select-Fire) Lower is used and mostly seen on the MK17 and Select-Fire SCAR-H PR/TPR. The MK20 SSR is the Semi-Auto only, US MIL version of the PR/TPR (i.e. TPRS). They’re all interchangeable obviously. |

Just need the Mk6, whatever rail extension and stock that is, Coyote plate carrier, and cool aviator shades. First time out with the Mk13, long story short, this thing fucks. I’m using the stock 1.4mm gas jet but have smaller ones in order. I pulled the barrel, changed the muzzle brake, and got to work. The gun was pretty dirty with about 600rds on it; today I shot mostly M118lr and a few of my clone loads at the end. Quickly got it re-zeroed without the suppressor, shot a 3rd group then put the Mk13 on for another 3rds, it was .4mil low. Took it off and went to a fresh target, after the first round it failed to feed, whoops it was still on the suppressor setting, flipped it back to 12’o clock and fired 2 more. Suppressor back on and I got a one hole 3 shot group .4mil low again. I took the suppressor off and shot it again on the suppressed setting and it failed to feed, back to 12 o’clock and it ran great. I took it on and off but mostly shot with the can on the rest of the time and it ran great. Ejection was a little spicier than unsuppressed but it didn’t seem excessive for such a high back pressure can. I didn’t pay too much attention to ejection patterns because I feel like that is kind of like trying to read tea leaves but the brass was all in the same general area. Can’t wait to get another mount and try it on the 17. |

Was someone here selling a refinished Scar SSD “diving board” rail extension? The refinished ones looked awesome compared to the ones out there.

It's gone. The original ones were not type 3 hardcoat finished which is why they were so shiny. Type 2 scratches more easily and is less durable so I had it redone in type 3 hardcoat. |

Is there a possibility to put together a group buy for a Surefire FA762SV? Not sure how many commitments that Surefire would need to do one.

Still kinda regret it cuz I know I would’ve rather had the 5-25 or 4-20 in which they all look the same exact size. but I’ve been told otherwise that the 7-35 is on the mk20. I have seen the tanos at work but haven’t bothered to look to see exactly which one. I know this one is on the mk13 but that’s different story |

Also odd that if they are different mag scopes they are all the same size.

I still would prefer a 4-20 one of them scopes though. Next year supposidly... I guess it depends. As a “Sniper Support Rifle” I’d want the highest mag possible with the same reticle as the “sniper rifle”. As as stand alone I think the S&B 5-20, Mk6 3.6-18, NF 4-20 are about perfect. |

Pic I was sent by a friend shows a 7-35 on the mk20. So it’s been done.

I was using a mk6 on mine when I was taking it out to 1200. I was guessing at 1600 but I feel a 7-35 would’ve helped a little. I know 1600 is ridiculous and 1200 is more of its limits. But a 7-35 would’ve helped better. If or when they release the r-vps then I might swap |

Does anyone know if the Mk17 uses the 6 or 7 lug bolt? Or is it a mix?

Don't see much posted about it, but is there an 'official' optic/mount setup for the 17s DMR?

Is anyone interested in parting with their 16” .308 barrel? I bought a 17s DMR in 6.5 and wouldn’t mind picking up a .308 barrel.

I think this is going to be it's final form. I want a suppressor for it, but haven't settled on anything yet. None of them will be clone-correct, so I haven't been motivated in any particular direction. Leaning towards B&T 762 can that uses SF hiders.
Fredericksburg VA 17S Marsoc issued (allegedly) SU-230B 13" Belgian MK17 barrel 0-90-180 MK17 grip module Attached File |

I really wish Surefire would just do a limited run of the FA762SV. They say that they don’t have the proper tooling anymore, but I can’t imagine that it would be that big of a hurdle when you consider their current capabilities. |

I wish you luck though View Quote Thank you. And thanks for the consideration. Yeah, I’m aware how old his lower is. And I have seen pictures of the 4590 that I’m looking for. But, I’m quite certain I’ll never find it. I’ve seen it on an extremely rare MK17 variant and some SCAR 17’s. And, while I’m not an intending to clone a MK17, if I were able to find this lower, it would perfectly match this rare MK17 variant. C’est la vie. |

Is the NF Atacr 1-8 clone appropriate on a MK17? I mostly see Elcans 1-6 but I personally can’t stomach the price for such a dated optic.

I mentioned earlier it had an aluminum yoke, and also the front sight locks down, nut can be knocked out of the up position. |
