It’s a QR code. It seems like some have them, some don’t. Check images in listings on gun broker, it’s probably split 60/40 without/with QR code as best I can tell. Military Mk 20’s seem to have them as well so I’d assume that it makes mine more accurate

If it’s a QR code it’s definatly not clone correct.  I assume you mean a data matrix? Lol.

I checked gunbroker and it’s definately a data matrix.  Neat.

What I really want to know is if these scar20s are 100 percent made in the USA, then why do they still have the import pin ground off in the trigger module?

I mean more accurate like FDE vs black. Having the, ahem, data matrix has gotta be worth an extra 1/4 moa

Went over to my local guy today to have him remove the factory flash hider on my scar 20S. I installed one of the Ca762ssal/re flash hiders he's selling, he also just so happen to have one of the KBA scar shoulder ring.

Worked like a charm and looks really good on the gun! (Sorry for the shitty photo)

Now to wait for the scope and mount to come in.

Was going to give up on the SCAR platform altogether, but I got to play with a MK20 SSR at SoDak Sports in Mitchell, SD today.  Now I need to sell more gun stuff, need $4500...

I'll post a link here, but Mods if it's against any rules just let me know and I'll remove it.

Surefire FA762SV for sale with mount.

Now to find a clone correct transit case or get the specs to have one made?

Does anyone know if surefire is planning a run of cans and muzzle devices or just the muzzle devices for us?

I was interested to know this also.

Saw how fast that 762sv sold for and would like to know incase another one pops up whether to jump on it or wait.

For the people wondering how similar the 20S barrel is to the 20” 17S, here’s the barrel from mine. Definitely a different beast. It measures 0.79” in front of the gas block, 0.668” after the muzzle step down, and 0.863” behind the gas block. Right hand threads are cut into barrel almost the entire length from the chamber to the gas block, supporting that massive barrel nut (or maybe jam nut). And of course, the larger six screw barrel extension.

I’m pretty impressed, this is a beefy barrel.

You've got three options as far as I can tell: NF NXS, Leupold Mark 6, and Vortex Razor.

I own all 3. Price point it goes NXS < Mark 6 < Razor. I'd say the Mark 6 glass wise is pretty close to the Razor but the extra Magnification and objective size make it better FOV. Truly can't go wrong with all 3 though, they are all great scopes.

Which magnifications are they running, or does that matter much. Right now I can get on a 600yds range, and a 250 but I'd like to find longer.

If you're looking to clone an "in the wild" SSR, you'd be considered "kosher" with any of the following options:

S&B PMII PSR 5-25x56 (Pantone)
S&B PMII 5-25x56 (Black)
NF ATACR 5-25x56 F1
NF ATACR 7-35x56 F1
NF ATACR 4-16x42 F1
NF NXS 5.5-22x56
NF NXS 3.5-15x50
NF NXS 3.5-15x50 F1
Leupold Mk6 3-18x44 (M5C2)
Vortex Razor 4.5-27x56

After more staring, looks like a 5.5-22. Not sure if it's the 50 or 56. No "Made in USA" in front of the elevation, like on the 3.5-15.

Pretty sure that's the 3.5-15x50. The 5.5-22 has a little bit longer mounting length from the turret too where the housing flares out. I watched that clip several times myself the other day lol.

Contacted NF, they said all the 3.5-15s have a "Made in USA" right in front of the elevation turret. This one doesn't. They said they did some prototype 3.5-15s that didn't have the made in USA. It could be one of those, but I think that's unlikely given the timeframe, and the fact there were only a few of the non-marked prototypes ever sent overseas.

Interesting. I never noticed that on mine since it's painted . It's super hard to tell off the picture honestly. I just noticed from the short distance of the mounting area, even though the 5.5-22 is only .6" more.

Right? Plus, we're only talking a difference of 6mm. Not something easily discernable off screen caps. NF thought it was a 5.5-22, but their said their guess was good as mine, understandably. It is SFP, too. May look at some of the other options. Still trying to figure out what optic to throw on top of this Mk20.

Have a Mark 5 3.6-18 that I really like on the 17, and an EOTech Vudu 5-25 that's stupid short. Just feel gross about putting either of those on the 20. May just need to nut up and put the Mark 5 on the 20, and a 2.5-10x24 on the 17.
