I am looking for a MOLLE scope pouch (or any MOLLE pouch) that will fit about a 13 1/2" rifle scope. Also some sort of hard case or tube that already has padding on the inside or could be added would be nice too.
Any ideas? |

maybe one of these could work

If I remember correctly, I think its about 10.5". Just out of interest, why is it that you want to carry a scope separately? Well, I am not the OP. But, I have been considering this as well. See, I have a rifle set up as dual purpose and here in the dense woods of the mountains of WNC most of the time a scope is a hinderance between the thickness of cover and the risk of damage while crawling through the brush. A lot of the time the laurel is so thick you have to low crawl through, and can't "walk" around it. With BUIS and a QD scope, well you aleviate most of these troubles. I have been stowing my Leupold inside my pack, but I think I would like a pouch to make it more readily accessible. |

Interesting, thanks for that answer I think the diameter is only something like 1.5" though so I do doubt optics will fit in, especially with qd rings. If you had something like an eagle hydration pouch with the hard insert, you could probably get something like a specter or acog etc in there with the mount though, but I don't have mine to test that any more. |

thats why you need a Aimpoint magnifier in a flip mount I don't want to spend 400+ dollars just to make a red dot zoom. I would rather spend 100+ dollars and get a decent zoomable scope (something like 3-10x40). fair enough, but the 'cool-ness' factor is over the top what gun are you using you are still going to spend $$$ on a nice detatch and return to zero mounting system. I understand what you are trying to do, but it seams like a lot of back and forth to do it YMMV ETA: how about getting/using a shorter scope? something thats not 13", would be easer to find a pouch for it. |

Basically it will be for coyote or other hunting, HD, and the ever so possible zombie apocalypse Pretty much my mind has changed This is the game plan... Stag Model-1 with EOTech for main sight and probably a Bushnell or Nikon scope for long range. I would set the scope where I can see through it comfortably, zero it in, and make a mark on the rail where the mounts will sit. Take the scope off and do the same for the EOTech. When mounting, I would push the scope and mount down and pull back till it locks against the rails then tighten. I will try to do this and see if the scope will hold its zero. Not sure if it will
